Totton North & Netley Marsh – Timothy Rowe

Tim is a retired engineer who has lived in the New Forest for more than 30 years and has been actively involved in environmental politics for 40 years.

Social justice is at the heart of the Green Party and its values. I believe we need realistic affordable housing and a proper accountable fair rents policy.
We need to end having to pay for disposal of certain types of waste at our local council dumps and incentivise recycling.

We need to improve public transport, increase safe cycling routes and improve  local planning so that we can walk to work and local amenities.

Our throw away consumer culture is causing Climate Change and the destruction of animal life and its environment. We urgently need to reduce our consumption of natural resources, slow down the continual expansion of our destructive economic activity and build a sustainable economic  system which benefits people’s livelihoods, the community and the local environment.
